Queen Mathilde of Belgium favored a Jenny Packham design for Sunday night’s Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Brussels.
The Belgian queen consort wore the British designer’s Electra gown, crafted in a bold sapphire tone with shimmering embellishments on the bodice and sleeves. The gown was designed with a sleek silhouette, accentuated by crystal designs cascading across the waistline and bell-shaped sleeves.
A bateau neckline and three-quarter length sleeves added an element of architectural embrace, with a floor-length skirt that elongated the formal finish. The gown, retailing for $4,185, merged minimalism with luxury details.
