Mindy Kaling glittered in Rachel Gilbert gold for Thursday night’s premiere of her new series “Not Suitable For Work” in New York City’s Brooklyn borough.
The “Running Point” creator wore a sleeveless metallic gold dress from the Australian luxury brand that shimmered and created light reflecting illusions under flashing camera lights. The straps of the dress were cast in a silver tone with clustered gems.
The square neckline of the midi dress also included the sparling silver motif, before the rest of the dress transitioned into gold shards that created a warmer tone and cast to Kaling’s overall look. The dress was crafted with a mostly fitted silhouette and A-line skirt, a cinched waist added definition to Kaling’s look.

Kaling continued the gold motif of her look with a pair of pointed-toe pumps courtesy of Christian Louboutin. Accessories included delicate pieces from a bracelet to rings and dangling chain earrings that further accentuated the shimmering style approach of Kaling’s red carpet attire.
For glam, Kaling’s hair was styled by Marc Mena with a side part and worn straight, cascading down the producer’s back. Makeup for the actress, by artist Mayerling Cintron, included elements like bold brows, smoky eyes and a glossy lip. Kaling’s look was curated by stylist Erin Walsh, who curated actress Anne Hathaway’s “The Devil Wears Prada 2” promotional tour wardrobe.
Kaling was joined on the premiere arrival carpet by “Not Suitable For Work” series stars Avantika Vandanapu and Ella Hunt. Vandanapu wore a dress with warm summer tones from Naeem Khan’s spring 2026 collection.
Hunt turned to Prada’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear runway for her attire, wearing a deconstructed look featuring a strapless bandeau top and a high-waisted skirt with black lace and flouncy yellow fabric. The actress also wore heels by the Italian luxury fashion house.
Executive produced by Kaling, “Not Suitable For Work” follows a group of twenty-somethings in New York City trying to balance their careers and personal lives. The series debuts Tuesday on Hulu.
