Eva Longoria took the subtle bow shoe trend at Cannes into Jacquemus’ surreal sculptural language on Tuesday, stepping out at Hotel Martinez during the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival in the label’s black High Cubisto slingbacks.
Her High Cubisto pair had a high-cut black leather upper, a long pointed front and a narrow slingback strap fastened with a small gold buckle. A thin leather bow ran across the vamp, with the loops sit flat against the shoe as a subtle detail.
The toe looked almost beveled from the front, with a squared-off point that kept the bow from reading too sweet. From the side, the heel gave the pair its “Les Sculptures” connection: a slim black stiletto rising out of a curved counter, with the back left open by the slingback strap.

Longoria wore the slingbacks with what appears to be Jacquemus’ off-white Tablier dress, a formfitting sleeveless midi with a low scoop neckline and wide straps. She completed the look the label’s black Valérie bag, a compact top-handle style with gold hardware, along with a gold watch and oversize tinted aviators.
The bow detail has been turning up at Cannes beyond Longoria’s slingbacks. Halsey wore navy satin bow pumps with vintage Chanel at Kering’s Women in Motion Awards the day before, while Demi Moore has also worked the detail into her Cannes footwear twice, including Jacquemus’ white Tourni pumps at the jury photo call and a pink bow-accented pump look paired with her voluminous Matières Fécales look at the “Paper Tigers” premiere.
Longoria’s bow slingback moment came one day before the Global Gift Gala Cannes, the black-tie charity dinner where she is listed as an honorary chair. The evening, where Sofia Carson is set to receive the Global Gift Women Empowerment Award, benefits the Global Gift Foundation, which supports vulnerable children, women and families in need, per the event’s website.
