“She’s definitely a cool princess this season,” said Zac Posen of his Truly lineup. The collection for David’s Bridal is shown on a retail schedule and, for spring, featured six new styles and one special-occasion dress. The designer homed in on shapes that were selling well — fit-and-flare, generous volumes, cutaway silhouettes — and provided a mix of classicism and fashion drama at an accessible price point. The gowns looked impressive, given the price point (the most expensive retails for $1,390). Posen worked his signature cording technique on one of the higher-priced dresses, a strapless sweetheart done in mixed lace with a train, and offered one long-sleeve option with an open back. He also played with sequins on one look but kept the sparkle subtle by adding a tulle overlay.
