Halle Bailey brought youthful elegance to Sunday night’s 2026 Peabody Awards Los Angeles red carpet in her dress courtesy of The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel.
“The Little Mermaid” actress wore the Obsidian dress in chez castel for the red carpet occasion. Crafted in black with a body-contouring silhouette, the maxidress featured a halter and plunging neckline with a cutout just beneath the bust and above the waist.

The bodice was formfitting and included a peplum detail at the waist to offer the look even more dimension. Beneath the peplum, an A-line skirt gave the dress a healthy dose of elegance that balanced the contemporary design.

When it came to accessories, Bailey opted for delicate pieces. She wore a pair of Panorama earrings by brand Fope, and added a necklace, bracelet and delicate ring to complete her attire. Bailey’s hair was worn in an updo style with makeup highlights including bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy lip. The “Angel” singer’s look was curated by Byron Javar.

Bailey was joined by a bevy of other stars at Sunday night’s Peabody Awards, including Mandy Moore, who wore a design by Rodarte, Yara Shahidi in Loewe and Poppy Liu in Rachel Gilbert, among others.
Sunday night’s 86th annual Peabody Awards recognized excellence and public service in TV, radio, podcasting and online media. The 2026 class of honorees included Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Poehler and PBS Kids. TV series honored on Sunday night included “The Pitt” and “Heated Rivalry.”
