Mitchell & Ness is preparing to make a splash in Philadelphia.
The sports brand, which was founded in the City of Brotherly Love in 1904, will open a three-story, 16,400-square-foot store at 1513 Walnut Street on Saturday.
The store, which the company is describing as “a cultural hub rooted in sport, fashion, music and community,” is significantly larger than the current 2,500-square-foot unit at 1306 Walnut Street.
“Philadelphia is our home, and this store represents the next chapter of our commitment to the city that built Mitchell & Ness,” said Emilie Arel, president of Mitchell & Ness. “While we’ve long had a presence here, this new space allows us to create something bigger, an experience that reflects the full depth of our nearly 125-year legacy at the intersection of sport, culture and fashion.”
