Iris von Arnim borrowed from the Bauhaus architecture movement for her pre-fall collection, an inspiration that was most evident in her use of rectangular shapes and a palette of cement gray, tangerine and topaz for knitwear. Known as the queen of cashmere — she was among the first to bring the luxe yarn to Germany in the Eighties — the Hamburg-based designer recently introduced stonewashed cashmere: Sweaters are knitted in raw yarn, dyed and then stonewashed, leaving each one unique. A few leather looks, including a hooded lambskin jacket and high-waisted trousers, were chic complements to the sweaters.
