How Spike Lee, Ben Stiller and More Courtside Celebrities Nodded to the Knicks With Their Footwear at MSG

Orange and blue sneakers were on display at the exciting playoffs game.

New York City is buzzing after the Knicks pulled off a comeback against the Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden in game one of the eastern conference finals on Tuesday, winning 115-104 in overtime. As the playoffs continue to heat up, celebrity row is only collecting more A-listers, many of whom get in the spirit with Knicks-themed outfits from head to toe.

The footwear on display is not to be overlooked, with many of the celebrity fans showcasing their inner sneakerhead while sitting courtside. From Spike Lee to Michael J. Fox, FN rounds up some of the courtside shoe highlights from game one of round three.

Fabolous was in attendance with his son, and both sported on-theme orange kicks for the occasion. The rapper wore Puma x Frosted Flakes suede sneakers, which pay homage to Tony the Tiger, while his son wore the Nike Air Force 1 Low Retro PRM Knicks sneakers, a style that was recently released in one Nike store for just one day.

Lee went with the Nike Air Max Plus x Homecoming “African Sunrise” sneakers — the orange colorway is inspired by early morning light over West Africa. He paired the shoes with Knicks socks to complete the footwear look.

While he wasn’t wearing a blue and/or orange sneaker, born-and-raised Manhattanite and Knicks lover Timothée Chalamet went with a shoe that speaks to the heart of New York: a wheat Timberland six-inch boot, one of his favorite silhouettes. He’s worn Timberland x Chrome Hearts boots before with orange and blue details nodding to the Knicks, but he seemed to have stuck to the classic solid wheat color on Tuesday.

Tracy Morgan, a regular courtside presence at Knicks games, was also wearing the newly dropped Nike Air Force 1 Low Retro PRM Knicks sneakers. The shoe was announced in partnership with @sidetalknyc earlier this month and then made available at the Nike SoHo at 611 Broadway for one day — now they’re on the resale market. Some of the elements of the shoe include a bright orange tumbled leather upper and a blue Swoosh as well as Nike’s NYC logo.

Ben Stiller, another diehard fan, didn’t just go with the orange and blue color palette, but showcased a customized white Air Force 1 Low featuring the Knicks logo against a blue Swoosh, and “New York” was written on the shoe as well.

Fox showed love for the team by wearing a collaboration between Nike and Kith which was inspired by the Knicks and dropped in 2021. He wore the Kith x Nike Air Force 1 Low NYC Away style, which features a gradient TPU Swoosh — orange on one side and blue on the other — against a black backdrop, in addition to NYC branding.
