When it comes to collegiate colors, there’s no combination as synonymous with Michael Jordan as the University of Carolina’s white and light blue. And yet, from time to time, the basketball legend’s namesake Jordan Brand will adopt the hues of its other sponsored schools for special releases. When it comes to the Georgetown Hoyas, the team is not only sponsored by the label, but has a legacy of going head-to-head for NCAA championships with Jordan himself.
Early next year, the Hoyas colors will appear on Jordan’s most popular sneaker, the Air Jordan 4 Retro. Early details on the style were shared by trusted leakers @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, who state that the upcoming pair will don a combination of Pewter Gray, College Navy and White. In-hand images of the new Air Jordan 4 sneaker aren’t yet available, but a speculative mock-up was shared which is said to provide an accurate depiction of what to expect from the retail shoe.

According to the early details, the Air Jordan 4 Retro OG Georgetown will be released in full-family sizing on Feb. 27 for a retail price of $220 in men’s sizes. Given the distant release window, it’s possible that some of the specifics could change between now and then. The style code for the upcoming pair is FV5029-004.
