This year has already seen a steady stream of new looks for the Air Jordan 4, including pink denim, a treatment inspired by an old Air Jordan fan club and the second of Nigel Sylvester‘s brick-themed colorways. Joining the mix soon will be a new tropical variant taking after a dazzling flowering plant.
The Air Jordan 4 “Bird of Paradise” takes a subtle approach to its source material, reserving its color application for a multi-tone outsole. As it runs from heel to toe, the translucent outsole moves from purple to a pink and orange gradient and back to purple again.

Neutral tones throughout the rest of the sneaker allow lower region to standout with a mix of cream and grey, including translucent eyestays and netting in the latter color. One last pop comes via the heel’s Jumpman, which appears in gold-tone metal with a diamond-like jewel for the basketball. Packaging brings the most literal connection to the Bird of Paradise, as the plant itself is printed on a special box with another gold Jumpman.
The color palette used for the forthcoming Air Jordan 4 is similar to that of J Balvin’s duo of Air Jordan 3s from 2023 and 2024, which took inspiration from Medellín and Rio.
More iterations of the Air Jordan 4 slated to release through the end of the year include the beloved “Toro Bravo” edition, a premium Bin23 build and the “Bred” colorway in its original materials following last year’s leather drop.
The Air Jordan 4 “Bird of Paradise” will release July 10 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $220.
