Joelle Diderich has worked as a journalist for 30 years, first in London as a financial reporter. After spending a decade as a foreign correspondent with Reuters, with postings in Madrid, São Paulo, Brasília and Paris, she worked for the Associated Press and International Cosmetic News before joining WWD in 2010, becoming Paris Bureau Chief in 2017. Born in Luxembourg in 1972, she is fluent in seven languages. As a luxury and retail sector specialist, she has moderated talks for WWD, Watches and Wonders, Shoptalk, MAPIC, the National Jewelry Institute and the American Chamber of Commerce in France. She is a featured expert in Loïc Prigent’s documentary “The Drawings of Christian Dior” and was a consultant on “Inside the Business of Fashion and Luxury,” a Parsons Paris online course for high school students, as part of her ongoing commitment to mentoring the next generation of fashion industry professionals.
