After treating the silhouette like a software update and releasing a refined version of the Air Max 1000 this month, Nike and Zellerfeld are quickly following up with another colorway of the 3D-printed shoe.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 “Black/Hyper Crimson” is essentially the same shoe that sold out at the start of May but with a bright red Air Max unit popped into the heel. Once again, the rest of the silhouette is printed in black, as the brand marks are either inset or protruding from the pattern.
Subtle refinements to the outsole define the Air Max 1000.2, as tweaks allow for faster printing and thus increased production. A mark on the Air Max unit calls out the updated model.

Nike released the Air Max 1000, based off the original Air Max 1, with a limited release in late 2024 and has sold out every release since. The shoe marked its first foray into 3D printing with the German specialist Zellerfeld and has been followed up with the Air Max 95000, a futuristic take on another classic Air Max sneaker that also debuted Nike’s Project Nectar tech for additive printing.
The partners made another production breakthrough in January by unlocking dual-color printing on the Air Max 1000.
Each of the 3D-printed Air Max sneakers employs Zellerfeld’s TPU Zellerfoam, which is fully recyclable and mapped with different densities to provide a rigid sole and a more breathable and flexible upper without the need for laces.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 “Black/Hyper Crimson” will release through a raffle on Zellerfeld’s website open Monday through Thursday. Pricing is set at $180.
